Description

The campus-style layout with frontage to the Waterfront promenade influenced the furniture selection for this project significantly. With the assistance of WMK Architecture, we carefully selected pieces that would complement the space's natural organic design without sacrificing functionality or ergonomics. This open space was designed with a flexible working environment in mind, so we made certain that all pieces allowed for comfortable collaborative working.

818 Bourke St also has a NABERS 5.0-star energy rating and a WiredScore gold connectivity rating. And yes, that patch of artificial turf in the breakout area is actually a little mini-golf strip!

Goals

○ Provide furniture options to allow for an agile, mobile working style, with the ability for collaboration.

○ This project is a spec suite so it’s important to choose furniture to allow for a variety of business types, giving them the freedom to rearrange as desired.

○ Deliver the project within a tight deadline, ready for walkthroughs.

Achievements

● Heavy use of collaborative, mobile furniture so future tenants can easily rearrange the workplace to their liking.

● The furniture was delivered within 6-8 weeks, meeting the project deadline. Ensuring the space was ready for walkthroughs and tours.
