Description

Early on in the project, Methodist Ladies' College in Melbourne and McIldowie Partners Architects enlisted HOW. to work with them. They workshopped new ideas and used valuable input from key user groups like students and teachers to deliver furniture solutions that support the school's goal of placing students in a learning environment conducive to engagement and collaboration.

HOW. achieved the client's objectives by providing a selection of locally created custom furniture items with seamless technological integration. A variety of Pedrali products, including the Tweet, Social, Bolt, and Volt, were used in conjunction with HOW's custom space lounges and high benches to add bursts of colour and modern human-centric design.

Goals

○ Use custom joinery, steel, and upholstery made in Australian workshops to meet the specific needs of the client.

○ Provide beautiful furniture options that are compatible with the latest tech.

○ Instead of the conventional side-by-side standard desk configuration, create a more collaborative office look and feel.

Achievements

● Custom-made booths and lounges were made to accommodate students’ heights and learning styles.

● Bespoke furniture solutions were provided to accommodate modern learning styles. Specific furniture, such as couches and tables, were chosen with seamless technology integration.

● Bubbly, modern collaboration furniture, such as Pedrali products, were used to make the work atmosphere more engaging and enjoyable for students.
